Most people are afraid of change because of the lack of control myth. They either do nothing or do it all. Either way there is no lasting results.

Most people are lead kicking and screaming towards change because they opted not to take control.
The other group of all or nothing is the people who opt for crash diets, sudden intense workout programs, and the radical overhaul of who and what they are. They may maintain it for a while, but it can’t and will not last.
True change takes a lot of small mindful, subtle decisions overtime that add up to the bigger, more enduring breakthrough transformations.
As a life coach I see these transformations all the time.
The keys are simple: mindful decisions over time. The client knows what they want and how that will make them feel, they visualize the outcome. They know they can achieve because they have already visualized it.
As they are coached they find the solutions, the resources and the possibilities within themselves and they own the results. They mentally agree and accept the outcome.
The results will be sustained by frequent coaching sessions, usually weekly, to maintain constant momentum and accountability.
You see some people want to make changes by themselves but they never get past the want stage, because the wants seems too large. Their ego makes the want even larger, their excuses result in regrets.
The price of regret is much more costly than the coaching sessions!
